Chai with Rai (Ep.3)- In conversation with Sashin Kandhai where we discussed his amazing career as a multidimensional artists in South Africa . From his love of Bollywood cinema to being an actor, dancer, choreographer and director. We talked about his meeting of course with Madhuri Dixit on the hit Indian TV Show Dance Deewane.
To producing and starring in his own theatre show Gateway to Bollywood & Kuch Kuch Happens. We also spoke of his silk and aerial work with Oriental Fire. We dove deep into the entertainment space in South Africa, the digital space and where he is going to.
Since recording Sashin choreographed the movie Trippin' with the Kandasamys and being a judge on Dance Africa Dance.

Welcome to Chai with Rai (Ep.1)- I call this show my Digital jukebox of Hidden Gems, in which I reach out to people in the Entertainment and Fitness Industry. We discuss all things Industry, life lessons, politics, socialism, culture, history , the Digital space and more. Then at the end we play some fun games and reflect some more. I want the show to feel like we are having a conversation, with some banter involved but at the same time discuss some heavy topics. Agreeing to disagree and having that space to explore.
Episode 1- In conversation with Sonia Tharani of BollyDanz. We sat and talked all things Bollywood, from her favourite films, to favourite actors, songs, to dancers and choreographers she adores. What got her into dance, how she continues to keep the passion for it.
What her journey has been like in the industry-- from spirituality to career, her thoughts on the politics of the industry, the digital space. How she deals with stress and anxiety.
Her recovery from a car accident which left her in a very dark space and how her passion for dance recovered her. I am grateful for Sonia for being my first guest and encouraging me to venture on this new chapter. .
